Hart Trailer Is Family Owned

The horse trailer business has always been a competitive one, even back in 1968 when Anthony Hart expanded his father's machine shop business into what is today one of the most respected trailer manufacturing companies in the country.

Established in 1968, Hart Trailer LLC remains privately owned and operated by the Hart family. Over the years Hart has built and maintained a reputation for manufacturing quality trailers while becoming friends with our customers. As a result, Hart Trailer LLC has made a mission of staying one step ahead of the competition by offering custom built trailers designed to fit what the customer wants with the safety of the animal and equipment it carries in mind.

As a family-owned and operated business, the Harts take very personally their mission to create the finest trailer on the road today. Putting the Hart family name on each and every trailer built is a symbol of the pride felt in the product they manufacture. For them, that means taking it from the inside out. Fine trailers aren't made of what's seen on the outside; shiny stainless steel and polished aluminum. They're made from quality construction and design that comes from the heart of a man raised in a machine shop.

Initially, only steel trailers were built, but in 1991 Hart began to build all aluminum trailers. By mid 1992 steel construction was phased out. As the company has grown over the years, plant facilities have expanded to over 80,000 square feet on 22 acres with 90 employees providing approximately 600 trailers annually.

Quality not Quantity has always been the company’s focus. Hart has never had the desire to be the biggest trailer manufacturer, only the best. Listening to our customers, we find that they demand the finest that is available. They recognize the true value of quality, and for them, there is no substitute. As a result, Hart Trailer LLC will never sacrifice quality for quantity.

Active in the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers, Hart works to include safety features which go above and beyond what the federal or state governments might require. They are also very aware that the cargo their trailers carry, horses often worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, are also precious loads to their owners, so extra care is taken to ensure the comfort of the passenger. Safety, reliability, convenience, eye appeal and excellence are engineered into every feature of a Hart trailer.

The design features Hart incorporates in its trailers today have been continuously developed for over 40 years in close cooperation with our customers and dealers. Because Hart aspires for excellence in trailer manufacturing and service, we have been able to inspire confidence in our customers that they have made the right choice in purchasing a Hart Trailer.

Hart is represented by dealers, across the United States, who provides the company with insight and feedback from customers. "We are a very customer-driven company. We work closely with our dealers to keep their business healthy because that keeps us healthy," said Hart. "We hold dealer meetings to educate our dealers on changes about our trailers. They, in turn, provide us with what they have learned from their customer." Our customers also know that while each trailer is custom designed to fit their individual needs, it carries the price tag of a mass produced unit. Only a few will ever own a Hart Trailer, but hundreds will always want one.
